    Kentucky Virtual Library Research Portal

    Kentucky Virtual Library Research Portal for kids through 5th grade was created in 2003 through the joint efforts of the Kentucky Virtual Library Kids & Teachers Workgroup, with website concept, story, design and animation by Shere Chamness.

    The original website was based on Flash content (http://legacy.kyvl.org/kids/f_portal.html), with a secondary non-Flash version employing animated GIFs for games, and a text-based version for visually impaired users and printer-friendly pages.
